An app that automatically cancels your subscriptions at the end of the free-trial period has launched in the UK.
Free Trial Surfing assigns users a virtual credit card number and a fake name which they can use to sign up for a service.
However, the card is actually registered to a company called DoNotPay which acts as a middle man between the service provider and the user.
All emails are forwarded so the customer’s own email address is kept private.
Free Trial Surfing, which launched last month in the US, is owned by British-American entrepreneur Joshua Browder.
The app, which is currently free, has been launched in partnership with a major bank.
It is currently only available on Apple’s App Store but a web version is in production.
