College football staffs love having under-the-radar assassins, players they know perform at an elite level who strike at any moment but aren’t getting the same pub as others at their position nationally heading into the season.

It’s like holding a nuclear warhead in a location unbeknownst to adversaries, one lit fuse away from bringing a wave of terror.

Some of these guys are well-hidden at top-tier programs despite being at the top of the depth chart with impressive numbers while a few star at programs rarely given the spotlight in the national conversation.
