Welcome back, college football.
Florida and Miami played the rare Week 0 headliner Saturday in Orlando, and Miami opened the scoring on the first drive with a field goal. It appeared that the Gators would have to punt after a three-and-out on the next drive.
Instead, Florida punter Tommy Townsend turned into Florida running back Tommy Townsend. And on the 13th play of the college football season, the Gators tried a fake punt. It worked, too.
On the next play, Kadarius Toney caught a quick WR screen and sped down the sideline, breaking tackle attempts by at least four Hurricanes defenders as he finished the 6-yard touchdown reception.
