Pet of the Week: Inspector Gadget and Penny – County 17

Meet Inspector Gadget and Penny, a bonded pair of tiny toy poodles.

“If they were human, they would finish each others sentences. That’s how bonded they truly are,” explains Carolyn Sears, owner of Rest Easy my Friend Canine Rescue and Sanctuary.

Penny, the apricot colored pooch, is a 10-year-old female, while her pal, Inspector Gadget, is a 14-year-old male. Both have been fixed and are current on their vaccinations.

These tiny pups are never far apart, but also love to snuggle and be loved on. Due to their size, the pair would do best in a home without small children.

The two came to the rescue by way of Colorado, where Carolyn said they were rescued three years ago. However, when the family situation changed, they were unable to keep the dogs. While trying to find a home for them on Facebook, the owner found Rest Easy and these pint size pooches landed in Gillette.

“They are the sweetest little guys I’ve ever seen,” said Carolyn.

Both dogs are house broke and get along with with other dogs and cats. Gadget’s eye sight is not as good as it once was and he’s beginning to get lost. But, his pal Penny comes to his rescue, making sure Carolyn knows he’s gotten lost and staying close to his side for comfort. Penny could definitely be called Gadget’s seeing-eye dog.

Both dogs are still healthy as they can be in their twilight years.

Although, Gadget does have a touch of arthritis and is prone to bladder stones, which he’s on a special food for.

Carolyn said the duo can most often be found snuggling together on one of the many dog beds at Rest Easy. Penny and Gadget are easy going, lovable, and would make a great addition to any home.

To arrange to meet these petite poodles, contact Carolyn via Facebook, or visit the Rest Easy website.
