Xiaomi sub-brand Poco received massive success for its first smartphone — the Poco F1 — that launched in India around the month of August last year. Ever since the launch of the phone Poco has been extremely committed to upgrading Poco F1 users to all the latest updates. Despite being a year old (almost) phone now Poco believes that the Poco F1 is still important to them and the users deserve to experience all the latest features and updates. On that note, Pocophone global head Alvin Tse has confirmed that Poco F1 will get MIUI update with dark mode soon.
It is worth noting that some of the Xiaomi phones have already received the dark mode with the latest MIUI 10 update like the Redmi Note 7. Ever since then — Xiaomi phones started receiving dark mode — Poco F1 users have been asking for the dark mode timeline for their phones. Until now Poco was quite but the company has finally broken its silence. The Pocophone global head Alvin Tse — in response to a Twitter query — confirmed that dark mode is coming to Poco F1.
Alvin Tse said that the Poco F1 will get MIUI 11’s touch and with that will come the dark mode for the users who have been waiting for it for a long time. Alvin Tse didn’t reveal the exact timeline of the MIUI 11 update timeline for the Poco F1 but did mention that it “isn’t too far away”. Notably, Xiaomi is yet to reveal the launch timeline of MIUI 11.
In response to a Twitter user, Alvin Tse revealed this bit of information as he noted, “MIUI 11 will have dark mode”. Furthermore, Tse also revealed the delay in Dark mode for the Poco F1. He said, “RN7 Pro [Redmi Note 7 Pro] is testing out dark mode first as they have a much bigger user base. Once dark mode stabilizes, it’ll be ported to MIUI 11 which isn’t too far away.”
Last week Tse via another tweet response revealed that the Android Q will come to Poco F1 very soon. In response to these queries on Twitter, Head of Pocoglobal Alvin Tse said, “We will get to Q”. Tse’s response suggests that Android Q will be coming to Poco F1 very soon. Notably, Tse didn’t reveal anything Android Q rollout timeline for Poco F1.
