OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A local Omaha restaurant is going mobile. Table Grace Cafe has its roots in downtown, but on Saturday, they took their ministry to the road.
Table Grace has been serving the Omaha community for the past 10 years.
“We all have hunger, we all have hunger in our bodies that we feed three to five times a day with food, but we also have hunger in our soul,” said Simone Weber, a musical missionary.
That hunger is the base of Table Grace Ministries.
“Our board of directors all agreed that having a food truck would have us reach more of Omaha and expand our mission,” said Matt Weber, the CEO of the ministry.
Mobile Grace Cafe was set up in the heart of the Bellevue Farmer’s Market. It wasn’t just food that they were serving, they were also spreading their message through music.
“Music is a way to bridge a lot of diversity, to bridge walls that we build for ourselves. And so, within the cafe and also out in the community, it helps us tell the story of what the mission of Table Grace is all about,” said Simone.
Table Grace said they hope their ministry will reach out to people of all walks of life.
“The minute that you walk into the presence of Table Grace Cafe, Mobile Grace Cafe, the music ministry, it’s for all of us,” said Simone.
Table Grace said their ministry is run on donations and volunteered time. You can find more information at http://www.tablegracecafe.com/
