Third body discovered at destroyed mobile home in LaRue County – WLKY Louisville

Police are investigating after three people were found dead in the area of a burned-down mobile home in LaRue County.WLKY Chopper HD flew over the scene Monday on River Road near Gray Road.The mobile home appeared to be completely leveled by fire and continued to smolder.Police said they were called to the area to respond to reports of shots fired.”It’s my understanding the original call was a shots fired complaint. As far as who called it in, I’m not sure,” Kentucky State Police Trooper Peter Binkley said. When police arrived, they found a person dead in the scorched mobile home and a woman dead in a nearby car. A third body was discovered as the investigation progressed.Right now, officials are calling this a death investigation. Troopers have not said how the people died. “It would be premature for me to speculate on that at this time due to the nature of the scene and it is an ongoing investigation,” Binkley said. The investigation led police to a Louisville home on Ashby Lane on Monday night. KSP and the Louisville Metro Police Department are processing a second scene at the location.The victims’ identities are being withheld until an autopsy can be performed.
