United Airlines unveils non-stop college football routes – AL.com

United Airlines today released its 2019 college football flying schedule, with a slate of nine non-stop flights for different games, including two for fans of the Crimson Tide.

In all, the carrier is offering around 10,000 seats between its hubs, with tickets now available.

“Our playbook this year will make it easier than ever for fans, alumni and students to cheer on their teams in other college towns across the country,” Ankit Gupta, United’s vice president of domestic network planning, said.

The first flight will involve the Auburn opener in Arlington, Texas. However, it’s a non-stop fight for fans of Oregon, the Tigers’ Aug. 31 opponent in the 2019 Advocare Classic. The flights leave Eugene, Ore., Aug. 30 and return Sept. 2 from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

For the Sept. 14 game between Alabama and South Carolina, United is offering flights from Birmingham to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE). Flights will leave Sept. 13 and return Sept. 15.

United also has a flight scheduled for the Oct. 12 game between Alabama and Texas A&M. Flights leave Birmingham on Oct. 11 for Easterwood Airport (CLL) in College Station, Texas. Return flights are Oct. 13.

Other routes will accommodate LSU vs. Texas on Sept. 7, Notre Dame vs. Georgia on Sept. 21, Ohio State vs. Nebraska Sept. 28, USC vs. Notre Dame, Oct. 12,, Wisconsin vs. Ohio State Oct. 26, and Notre Dame vs. Duke NOv. 9.
